Grace, Mercy, & Gratitude

Dear Spiritual Sister,

I love a gorgeous, November sunrise with blue skies while the hubby and kids are still fast asleep. The aroma of coffee brewing tickles my nose. Still, I am comfortable in my favorite winter pajama set. It’s a lovely weekend morning to bundle on the couch with Hope & Bear, my fur babies, or enjoy a cool breeze on the back patio.

On the back patio, the scene consists of my dogs and me with a hot cup of coffee or herbal tea in my favorite tumbler. I observe my plants and how they are growing. There is total silence, which is just the way I like it. I know God’s presence is there because I am at total peace. I can hear him speak to me.

The dogs run around and roll in the grass. If Bear and Hope are lucky enough, their dog friends are outside, too, for a morning greeting. To me, this is the good life. It is right here at home. The family is in good health. I have a regulated mind, and I have God’s perfect protection. My distant family and friends are happy and healthy, and if anyone is in an unfavorable situation, I celebrate in advance for future victory because I know prayer is my long-range weapon. I remember who God is, and God remembers me. The comfort that accompanies such a scene is priceless to me. I...Thank...God.

I don’t take for granted the breath in my lungs. I don’t take for granted that God has kept my family and me all these years. I don’t take for granted or take credit for how God has blessed me to walk in the calling he placed on my life. I’d rather worship. When I was not fit to live and too fit to die, God just worked on me. This way is much better than wasting time complaining.

With his grace, God freely gives salvation through His son Jesus. With his mercy, he forgives my sins and keeps me from getting the punishment I deserve. With worship and obedience, I show God my gratitude. Thank you, Lord.

After healing from heartaches, heartbreaks, and mistakes, I marvel at the healing power of God. When I didn’t deserve a second chance due to wanting my way and being unappreciative, God changed my perspective. For that, I am grateful. I am forever grateful. I got rid of spoiled-itis and turned to appreciation for every little thing I could enjoy during my short time on this earth. We are simply passing through and preparing for the return of a Savior. Until then, be obedient and just worship.

1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Be sure to give praise and experience God’s love. His love endures. Enjoy pumpkin season. Happy Thanksgiving, Spiritual Sister.

With love,

Valeece
